First issue of Klassensprachen— more
Klassensprachen investigates the relationship between social class and language from various artistic perspectives. The project was initiated by five female curators, educators and writers who explore this theme through workshops, exhibitions and publications. Based on the visual identity, which we developed for → Klassensprachen, we also designed their first publication „Written Praxis“. Its design translates the core elements of the visual identity–the abstraction of the letter K and a distinctive combination of typefaces–into an editorial format. Lines and big titles structure the flow of the publication. The use of the projects different typefaces indicate different kinds of content and add a lively tone. And finally, the spot color of the projects first edition is applied on the edges of the publication, emphasizing its material and spatial qualities.
